The Namib Desert receives the least amount of precipitation of any place on the planet — less than one inch of rain per year!
Facts & Figures
As children, we were mesmerized with tales of African safaris, of Alaskan wilderness expeditions, and of attempts on distant mountains in Nepal. We sat spellbound, enthralled with stories of the golden age of adventure travel, when the emphasis was on the endeavor, and where romance and style were essential to the journey.
Sadly, the world seems smaller than when we were children. There are few places that remain untouched by the imprint of human feet. But the human spirit continues to celebrate discovery and exploration. At Magamba Safaris (magamba means legendary, the stuff of tall tales) we embrace it. On a Discovery Safari, feel free to let your imagination transport you back to an uncertain, but more romantic era, to a time where nature and explorers existed in harmony. Perhaps it's time to refocus, to discover new worlds, and to rediscover the spirit of adventure within you.
