Facts & Figures

For many photographers, an African safari is a photographic quest. The vastness of Africa's untamed places, and the abundance of wildlife that inhabits these wild places, are among Africa's most precious resources. At Magamba Safaris, we understand the needs of photographers. We anticipate you are eager to observe and photograph the drama of life and death in the wetlands, and on the plains.

Join us on one of our photographic expeditions. You'll capture images that you will treasure forever. The joyous antics of elephants at play, the mesmerizing beauty of the stark Namib Desert, and the penetrating golden eyes of a lion. Each one is a photographic likelihood that awaits you.

The rhythms of nature help create the romance of Africa. The warm light of sunrise and sunset illuminate the magical panorama of the Zambezi Escarpment, the pulse of life in a mountain village, and the vastness of the Etosha salt pans. Africa is a living canvas, on which man and nature paint together in harmony.

Southern Africa features dramatic landscapes of unsurpassed beauty. Victoria Falls is the most spectacular waterfall on earth. The Okavango Delta is the largest inland delta, and exists like a giant oasis, in the middle of the Kalahari Desert. The Namib Desert is the oldest and most picturesque desert, featuring the mountains of Damaraland, the Skeleton Coast, and the huge orange and red dunes of Sossusvlei. The Makgadikgadi Pan and Etosha Pan are the world's most expansive salt pans. During the dry season they are an enormous and powerful expanse of emptiness, but after the first rains, they attract the continent's second biggest animal migration.

Spectacular coastal cliffs overlook the confluence of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans, at the Cape of Good Hope. The stunning coastline is dominated by Table Mountain, considered to be one of the most powerful vortices of energy on earth. And nearby is Cape Fynbos, the richest of the earth's six floral kingdoms.

We invite you to explore and photograph Africa. We'll stay in small, exclusive camps and lodges, which offer the privacy and isolation necessary for a truly intimate and fulfilling African photographic expedition. We're confident you will capture unforgettable images and memories of Africa's abundant wildlife, untamed scenic wonders, and gracious people.

We also examine the cultural traditions of Kgalagadi and Kavangoland. At the end of each day, we relax in comfort in exclusive camps and lodges. This safari includes visits to Bwabwata National Park, Etosha National Park, Linyati Reserve, Makgadikgadi Pans, Moremi Reserve, and the Namib Desert.
